Pakistanis going down to the beach at night may be in for a big surprise. They may bump into their president, Pervez Musharraf. He told businessmen in Paris he wanders around Karachi’s beaches at night to make sure they are free from crime. Hundreds of people have been killed in the key commercial centre of Karachi in recent years.
