Controversial Olympic plans

North European countries have expressed outrage at what they say are Greece’s plans to license hundreds of brothels during next year’s Athens Olympics. Ministers from Sweden, Norway, and four other countries claim the move will lead to the exploitation of women. They say brothels are incompatible with the Olympic ideal. But the Athens authorities say they are only trying to regulate what is an existing situation.
