The four-month war in Indonesia’s Aceh province is escalating, according to reports. Information about the conflict is sketchy, as the Indonesian government has banned journalists from covering their offensive against separatist groups. But it is thought 12 civilians, 48 rebels, and two government soldiers died in the last week alone. Indonesia has sent more than 35,000 troops to deal with an estimated 5,000 rebels.
