New ‘newspaper for peace’ in Sudan

October 3rd, 2003 | by aobaoill |

From Interworld Radio:

A new national newspaper designed to promote peace and justice is to be launched in Sudan. The Sudan Mirror will be printed in Uganda and then distributed in Sudan as well as among Sudanese refugees in Kenya and Uganda. It will cover issues including the environment, the economy, democratic politics, peace and human rights. Observers say that most Sudanese have no idea of the scale and effects of the civil war in their country.
