FCC public comment processes

October 21st, 2003 | by aobaoill |

Several messages running around today, encouraging input into a number of FCC processes. First we have the Localism task force, which is holding a number of public hearings over the next 9 months. The members are all FCC staff – primarily attorneys and economists.
The other process relates to Wi-Fi. The Media Access Project and New America Foundation are advocating that members of the public file comments in support of the availability of spectrum for unlicensed wireless access, and the NYC wireless project are circulating mails in support.
