Constitutional issue with electronic voting

February 3rd, 2004 | by aobaoill |

The Labour Party claims to have identified a possible constitutional issue with electronic voting, though the press release indicates that the issue at stake is a technical one related to the recent court decision on the Carrickmines issue, and the status of enabling orders relevant to primary legislation. Whether or not it does provide long-term relief, it is good to see roadblocks that may provide room for a more sober and thoughtful approach to the issue.
