More on incomes in Ireland

More income statistics for Ireland in today’s Irish Times – these ones showing that we have among the highest gaps in the EU between high and low earners, with the top quintile earning 4.5 times what the bottom quintile earn. Not only that, but more than 20% of the population are thought to be “at risk of poverty” – meaning that they earn less than 60% of the average income.
