Doc Searls and Dr Weinberger have published a paper entitled World of Ends: What the Internet Is and How to stop Mistaking It for Something Else. Essentially, they claim that “the internet is an agreement”. Makes some sense on the surface – and they coat it in anti-corporate-functionalism which makes it attractive – but I’ll need to think about how useful a model it really is.
