Independent media on the eve of the U.S. elections

November 1st, 2004 | by aobaoill |

Indymedia has launched a new site – www.indymedia.us – that collates all the feature articles from U.S.-based Indymedia sites in its newswire. Just in time for the mess that will be tomorrow evening.
BTW, Electoral-vote.com is currently predicting 298 votes for Kerry. Given that Al Giordano has recently predicted 310 for Kerry, there are some optimistic views out there. I’ve a feeling it may be somewhat closer (and I’m surprised to see that Colorado’s amendment on splitting the vote will be defeated 65:32!) but hope it will go ‘the right way’ (even if we have to wait for the lawyers to clear things up in mid-December).
One other thing – could Rehnquist’s illness could change the balance on the Supreme court, if matters go that far? (And could the right claim illegitimacy for Kerry if he wins in such circumstances?)
