Blogs and Wikis

March 11th, 2003 | by aobaoill |

An interesting evening. Spent the early part phone banking for the GEO, and then we all headed to Esquire. Lots of fun conversation, as usual, but it wasn’t until late in the evening that I started talking with Mark Dilley – who’s back for a short visit after helping us with our election campaign last semester – about blogging. Turns out he runs one of the few wiki blogs around.
Wikis provide some options that aren’t readily available with current standard blogging tools. For instance, open publishing is much easier (no html code to learn), and its easier to integrate non-date specific entries. While some bloggers have written significant essays about blogging, they have generally been linked from blogs, rather than being part of the blogging system. While that may be a strength of blogs – they only do a small task, and link to other tools rather than trying to do everything – its certainly interesting to see a different perspective.

    Hello Andrew,
It was good to talk to you as well. My wikiweblog is not a true wikiweblog, it is more like a weblog on a wiki.
here is a link to some of the few wikiweblogs that I know of:

Also here is a list of wikis that I have compiled:
