High school radio in trouble
December 8th, 2004 | by aobaoill |During my meeting last month with the FCC’s Dr Pepper he raved about the wonderful spectrum auctioning systems designed by game theorists on staff. However the tribulations of Washington based High School radio station show the problems in a purely market-based approach to spectrum allocation. This is shocking stuff – or would be if it weren’t so unsurprising – and appears related to the Michigan case I pointed to recently.
