In 1973 singer Victor Jara was murdered in Chile following the US-supported coup d’etat that overthrew the government of Salvadore Allende and installed Pinochet. Now a former colonel has been indicted. As Tim Bray says:

Nixon is already burning in hell, for Chile if nothing else, and while there are seats reserved there for Pinochet and Kissinger, it’s nice to hear that there’s a chance for some justice this side of the grave.
