US plan to bomb journalists

And of course, there are reasons why you might find independent voices from Iraq useful in the time ahead. Not having heard RTE (Irish national radio) in some time – though I do get their useful email updates – it was strange coming across a random link to a breaking story. Seems the US military are threatening to bomb journalists who run their own satellite uplinks from Iraq. It strikes me that such actions would breach the Geneva conventions – involving targeting of civilian operations. Though I presume they would have no problem redefining broadcasting as a WMD….
