Nuclear weapons in Europe

February 10th, 2005 | by aobaoill |

From EUObserver.com:

The United States still has around 480 nuclear weapons in Europe, according to a study by the US-based privately-financed arms control group, the Natural Resources Defence Council, (NRDC).

The U.S. is the only country to have nuclear weapons outside its own territory, following the Soviet withdrawal from Eastern Europe. Of course, the UK and France also have their own weapons.
