Ancient intellectual property – a teaser

February 22nd, 2005 | by aobaoill |

As days go today has been more productive than many. I must admit it’s been somewhat strange though. I’ve been working mainly on an essay focusing on intellectual property – you could describe it as the political economy of intellectual property in an archaic social system – which is related to many of my interests, but requires sources and information that isn’t in my primary areas of knowledge. It’s fun, and I hope to have something concrete to post shortly, but is also slow going, as I’ve under a thousand words of content after seven hours of solid work. So productive, but still nowhere near a finished product.
Those who know me personally may not be surprised to learn that the paper is centred around the Columcille ruling I pointed towards in a post quite some time ago.
Update: I mistakenly deleted a trackback from Atalaya: La primera guerra del copyright
