‘No’ side still active in PS in France

March 10th, 2005 | by aobaoill |

Those following the debates over the proposed EU constitution will have noted the narrow and contentious decision by the Socialists (PS) in France to back the constitution. It appears that the debate’s not over yet. Some PS activists are looking for the time available to the PS to promote its views on the issue to be split between the two sides. The request to the state body will not succeed, with the issue being returned to the party, which is unlikely to give up some of its time so an unofficial party campaign can be run. However it does seem to be a marker that the no side don’t plan to disappear.
