Tiger, Tiger burning bright

I just upgraded to Mac OS Tiger (10.4) which is generally wonderful but I’ve had some occasional glitches. Some are totally unrelated to Tiger – my iBook battery died, which caused some unhappy crashing – but with others I’m not so sure. One thing that has happened a few times is that if I ‘wake up’ my computer while the WiFi card is on while I’m in my apartment the computer crashes. Last time this happened I lost a completed weblog post about the BCI’s consultation process on news and current affairs quotas on Irish radio – I hope I can recreate something resembling it.
On another note, I can’t open iChat while I’m in my apartment. I think this may have something to do with Bonjour/Rendevous messaging but I’m really very unsure. I believe that this started happening before I upgraded to Tiger.
