Rowing updates

July 8th, 2005 | by Andrew Ó Baoill |

We’re in the middle of rowing season by now and the events are multiplying. Last week my sister Méadhbh, racing with Aberdeen, got to the final four at Henley, ultimately losing to Leander. This week my other sister Heather is racing at the World Cup regatta in Lucerne where she got through to the semi-finals today. The semi-final is tomorrow.

Next week is the UK national championships, where Méadhbh will again be racing. After that I think things could quieten down for a bit. It’s a tough job being a spectator.
